Basic elements of art and design

Cursive writing and calligraphy

Fabric design (dying, printing, starched or casting -3D form)

Sewing and embroidery- design an object or animal using buttons, several types of stitches

3D eco art using common and found objects

Paper crafting- 3D, origami, book art, make envelope

3D decoupage and collage

Printmaking- monoprints, foam monoprints, collagraphy

Marker illustration on acetate- tracing photos, composition, pen, and ink drawing techniques

Watercolor (watercolor paint and pencils) & acrylic painting- photo and plein air (outside)

Clay- flour salt clay- baking measurements-mixing, rolling, sculpture

Weaving various stitches to make a small pillow, possible crochet to stitch together

String art- tacks, dowels, or starch/balloons, tin foil

Photography- composition, use of lighting, camera, tablet, or phone use for class parent’s devise (use of for that class), print out

Woodworking- make box or shelf, woodburning, staining with acrylic paint, decorating         (scraping, pounding, etc.)

First aid kit assembly and making case

Tire- changing a tire and how to make a tire embossed artwork

Metal working- forming, stamping and dapping, - making a box with wire string
