Meet Our Upper School Teachers

Mr. Bryan Miller

(Latin and History)

   Bryan serves as the Director of the Upper School. He has an MA and MSSI, a background in teaching history, languages, and liberal arts as well as 12 years of experience in the Department of Defense in senior analytical roles. He and his wife have two children whom they homeschool.

Pani Maria Murray

(Bible, Science, and Russian)

Maria has an MA in Applied Orthodox Theology and has homeschooling and teaching for the past ten years. Maria was the founder of SNAC in 2017, has taught Christian Studies, Russian, Latin, and Science at St. Nicholas and now also teaches for St. Athanasius Academy.

Mrs. Nadine Thola

(Art, Science)

Mrs Thola returns to SNAC after her break, concentrating on her Liberty University online classes for a Doctorate of Education: Curriculum and Instruction degree. She is working on her PhD dissertation presently. She has 40 years of art teaching experience in a variety of subjects: iconography, painting, calligraphy, metal working/jewelry making, Pysanky eggs, and mixed media. She got her BA in Graphic Design from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, magna cum laude. She received her Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies (MIS) in sculpture and jewelry from Virginia Commonwealth University. When she taught for SNAC for 2 years, she taught art, mixed media, science, and iconography. Nadine has a studio at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA.

Khouria Alexis El Massih

(Language Arts)

Alexis earned her BA in Literature and History at Hellenic College in Brookline, MA, where she focused on the cultural significance of European Intellectual History and Art Movement as reflected in Classical Literature. She had the opportunity to further enhance her art study by taking classes in oil painting and spending a semester studying Ancient Sculpture in Greece. She has also completed photography courses and mentorships in digital hand editing.

Mr. Sean Cordani

(Literature, Guitar)

Sean graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor's in strategic Intelligence and later received master's in Law from the University of Washington School of Law. He has managed a team of internet threat analysts and has worked in internet trademark law. Literature and music are his passions, and he has played in multiple bands.

Mrs. Kelsey Cordani

(Science, History, Geography)

Kelsey graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She have worked as a Registered nurse for 10 years specializing in critical care and pediatrics. Education is one of the most important aspects of her work to empower the families she takes care of. As a lifelong learner, Kelsey is also passionate about of history, theology, and folklore and continually expands her knowledge in these areas.

Mrs. Adrienne Meador

(Literature, Writing)

Adrienne holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Journalism and Political Science and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Secondary English (grades 7-12). She is the busy mother of six children, and (in her spare time) she enjoys writing curriculum for her church's Sunday School program.

Presvytera Elizabeth Manuel

(Byzantine Chant)

Presvytera has earned a B.A. in Psychology from Virginia Tech and has served as a missionary along with her husband, Fr. Thomas, in Guatemala. She has enjoyed teaching beginning elements of Byzantine chant to SNAC students.
